  11. UA AREA CHANGE
  12. UA Lets you select another message area.  Type "A" alone to see
  13. UA a list of available areas.  You may also type a number immediately
  14. UA following the "A" to move directly to another area (e.g. A1, A;2).
  15. UL LOCATE
  16. UL Locate a file based on a short sequence of characters.  THIS
  17. UL COMMAND SEARCHES ALL FILE AREAS, NOT JUST THE CURRENT AREA.
  18. UL Locate does not use MS-DOS "wildcards"; it does, however match
  19. UL the character sequence to both the file name and description.
  20. UL
  21. UL For example, if you type "L;arc" ... you might get this:
  22. UL    huge.ARC     123456 this is a large file
  23. UL    fstextr.exe    2250 a fast way to unARC a file
  24. UF FILE TITLES
  25. UF Lists files available in the current file area.  Also lists
  26. UF file's size in bytes, date uploaded, and a short description.
  27. UF If the file is new since your last call, you'll see an asterisk
  28. UF "*" next to the date uploaded.
  29. UT TYPE
  30. UT Displays a text file on the screen.  Only works with text files.
  31. UG GOODBYE
  32. UG Log off from Opus; hang up.
  33. UU UPLOAD
  34. UU Lets you send a file from your disk to Opus, provided your
  35. UU terminal software supports this.  Check your documentation
  36. UU for details.
  37. UU     1.  Tell Opus you want to U)pload a file.
  38. UU     2.  Select the file transfer "protocol" you want to
  39. UU         use - Opus will give you a list to choose from.
  40. UU     3.  Tell Opus the name of the file you'll be sending.
  41. UU     4.  Finally, when Opus says, "Ready to receive...", tell
  42. UU         your terminal program to send the file.
  43. UD DOWNLOAD
  44. UD Tells Opus to send a file to you, provided your terminal software
  45. UD supports this.  Check your program documentation for details.
  46. UD To get a file from Opus:
  47. UD     1. Tell Opus that you want to D)ownload a file.
  48. UD     2. Select the file transfer "protocol" you want to
  49. UD        use - Opus will give you a list to choose from.
  50. UD        (Ask the Sysop which protocols are most efficient)
  51. UD     3. Tell Opus the name of the file you want to receive.
  52. UD        (MS-DOS "wildcards" work with some of the protocols.)
  53. UD     4. Finally, when Opus says "Ready to send...", tell your
  54. UD        terminal program to receive the file.
  55. US STATISTICS
  56. US Shows systems statistics: time online, amount uploaded, etc.
  57. UM MAIN MENU
  58. UM Tells Opus to leave the FILES SECTION and return to the MAIN MENU.
  59. UR RAW DIRECTORY
  60. UR Shows any or all filenames, regardless of the entries in the
  61. UR file directory (FILES.BBS).  Accepts MS-DOS "wildcards".  Many
  62. UR BBS's reserve this command for higher access levels only.
  63. UR Here is kinda how wildcards work:
  64. UR
  65. UR   *.ARC     <-- Selects all files with extension .ARC
  66. UR   FOOBAR.*  <-- All FOOBAR files, regardless of extension
  67. UR   *.*       <-- All files.
  68. UR   FOO???.*  <-- All files with the first three characters equal to
  69. UR                 "FOO", the next three characters equal to anything,
  70. UR                 and any extension.
  71. UC CONTENTS
  72. UC Guess what?  Opus will display the contents of .ARC (Archive)
  73. UC and .LBR (Library) files.  These files are actually several
  74. UC smaller files locked into one large one for ease of transmission.
  75. UKLS KILL
  76. UKLS Allows you to either (1) Delete a file both from the disk and
  77. UKLS from the file directory (FILES.BBS), or (2) remove the filename
  78. UKLS from FILES.BBS without actually deleting the file.
  79. UOLS OUTSIDE FILE MANAGEMENT
  80. UOLS Opus now has an O)utside command specifically for the Files
  81. UOLS Section.  It can be used for file area maintenance utilities
  82. UOLS or anything else.  See OPUS.CTL and other appropriate Opus
  83. UOLS documentation for details.
  84. UHLS HURL
  85. UHLS Allows you to "hurl" a file from one file area to another.
